Hip hop star Flo Rida was awarded $82.6 million on Wednesday following an South Florida jury

the company that makes Celsius energy drinks broke an agreement between the singer and rapper and also tried to conceal the funds from the rapper

Flo Rida, whose real name is Tramar Dillard and his production company, Strong Arm Productions, had filed a lawsuit against in Boca Raton,

Florida-based Celsius Holdings Inc. in Broward County court in May 2021, alleging that the company violated the terms of an endorsement contract.

Basically, I helped birth this company, and all we was looking for was some trustworthy people who acted as if they were family,"

Dillard stated to The Associated Press. "And then when it comes down to the success of today, they just forgot about me."

Counsel for Celsius have argued in court as well as in prior documents that the company had its highest level of success

Celsius may still be able to appeal the decision, but it wasn't clear at the time whether they would.

The company's lawyers didn't immediately respond to requests for clarification by The Associated Press.
