The tech giant Microsoft has been reported to have joined the mass layoffs and rumors suggest that the company could be cutting 11,000 jobs,

Although an official count of the number of job losses hasn't been released by Microsoft but the company hasn't denied the reports either.
The move comes a few two days following Amazon revealed that it was laying off around 18,000 employees.
The announcement was made by the CEO Andy Jassy after information regarding the layoffs were published.
The announcement from Microsoft also reminds employees that layoffs for tech workers aren't done.
It is important to note that this isn't the first time that Microsoft has laid off employees in the history of Microsoft during the current year.
In October 2022 Microsoft was reported to have cut around 1,000 workers across various divisions. The layoffs affected about 1 percent of the 200,000 employees at Microsoft.
According to its annual documents at the end of June 2022, Microsoft employed 221,000 employees full time.
From the 221,000, 122,000 work located in the United States and 99,000 are employed worldwide.
